About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Trading Program Analyst to support the Non-Agency RMBS Trading Desk within the Structured Products Group (SPG). This role provides an opportunity to work directly with traders and business partners in a fast-paced markets environment focused on residential mortgage credit and structured products.
In this role, you will:
Participate in Trader Program daily activities and identify opportunities for researching and correcting trade issues within Wells Fargo Securities - Program
Review and maintain basic credit and prospectus files, manage phone traffic, complete trade tickets, update daily offering sheets, and exercise independent judgment to guide research and corrections
Present recommendations for resolving customer requests and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the operations and trading function
Collaborate and consult with peers, traders, and manager, including internal and external customers
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Securities Trading-Program experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to assess mortgage credit, identify risks, and support trading decisions
Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in mortgage finance, structured products, housing markets, and securitization
Understanding of SPG products and fixed income markets
Highly motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across trading, sales, risk, business management, and external partners
Ability to multitask, perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience working with and supporting Trading Desks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and data analytics tools to enhance research, identify insights, streamline processes, and support trading and business management activities
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Job Expectations:
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
