Site EHS professional responsible for instilling a superior safety culture, supporting site TCOS initiatives, and maintaining Safety and Environmental compliances
Responsibilities
- Attend supervisor and crew meetings, support and occasionally lead toolbox talks and monthly safety training
- Ensure regular (daily) visibility with employees in their department and act as a resource to offer guidance for performing tasks safely
- Build training with focus on TCOS concepts
- Promote TCOS concepts & drive initiatives outlined in the division safety plan. Champion improved safety practices with ALD Finishing employees
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety controls
- Coordinating, conducting, and tracking monthly safety training/events
- Participation in New Hire orientation and training
- Safety alert distribution and preparation
- Perform safety audits and walk-throughs and communicate the results
- JSA, LOTOTO, SOP, and Risk Assessment development and revisions
- Incident investigation, review, and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Ability to skillfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects
- Highly effective communication skills
- Travel requirements – intercompany, education, & benchmarking
- Background in Environmental Compliance
- Excellent computer skills, preferably in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in safety or a safety-related field and/or 5-8 years of experience in a safety-related field.
