Management Level:
Class 4This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
The starting pay is $18.80 an hour, with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.
Role Overview:
This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
In this role you will:
Perform operational setup of equipment; make adjustments to equipment and documentation.
Be responsible for operation of all equipment/documentation needed for operation
Maintain a clean work area; communicate with co-workers and management.
Make all necessary adjustments.
Observe all safety rules and take an active role in the promotion of safety.
Read and or write to maintain documentation of freezer temperatures, net weights of product, and other production records as they arise on daily basis.
Notify management of any mechanical, material, or quality issues.
Operate an electric pallet jack.
Monitor and report deficiencies of aero freezer, scales, and pack machine to management.
Become knowledgeable of “Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points”, and Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
Read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork.
Occasionally work with paint and solvent.
Perform work as assigned by the department supervisor.
Wear safety equipment, etc. and follow GMP’s and Safety Policies.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
The Team Member will regularly be required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility.
The Team Member will work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 6 months of operator experience, with the same employer, documented in the work history section of the application.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Internal Qualifications:
No more than 4 attendance points.
No suspensions within past 12 months.
No more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
No lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.
