Meet the Team
At Dexcom, our Equipment Maintenance team plays a critical role in supporting Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, and R&D by ensuring equipment, processes, and electronics operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. As an Equipment Technician 3, you will help maintain and improve the technology that supports the production of life-changing Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) products. Working alongside engineers, technicians, and operations teams, you will contribute to equipment performance, process improvements, and continuous innovation that directly impacts people living with diabetes.
Where You Come In :
- You will provide technical support for equipment, processes, and electronics used within Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, and R&D environments.
- You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, process, and electronic issues while identifying and implementing improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
- You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains in a safe and functional operating condition.
- You will maintain maintenance records, equipment documentation, and replacement parts inventories.
- You will collaborate with equipment manufacturers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to support equipment performance and operational excellence.
- You will support the programming, integration, and operation of automated equipment and systems.
- You will assist in the development of equipment, processes, and electronics by supporting planning, purchasing, assembly, testing, and implementation activities.
- You will contribute to engineering and equipment improvement projects with minimal supervision.
- You will provide guidance and support to team members and may assist with group lead responsibilities as assigned.
- You will follow all applicable safety procedures and ensure assigned work is completed in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- You will perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What Makes You Successful :
- You have 4-6+ years of experience supporting production equipment, manufacturing processes, and/or electronics in a technical environment.
- You have demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, processes, and electronic systems.
- You have the ability to identify equipment deficiencies and implement effective corrective actions and improvements.
- You have experience performing preventive maintenance and maintaining equipment documentation.
- You have strong knowledge of automated equipment, system integration, and process controls.
- You have the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
- You have experience supporting equipment development activities, including planning, procurement, assembly, testing, and validation.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- You have excellent organizational and documentation skills and can maintain accurate maintenance and project records.
- You bring a strong commitment to workplace safety and consistently follow established safety procedures and practices.
- Your technical expertise helps drive equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and R&D operations.
Required Qualifications
- You have 4-6+ years of related experience supporting production equipment, manufacturing processes, and/or electronics.
- You possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have a Bachelor's degree in an equipment, manufacturing, automation, electronics, or related technical field.
- You have experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- You have experience supporting automated equipment, controls systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
