This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a supply chain professional who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing decisions across functions, and driving operational excellence. You will serve as a key partner to teams across Planning, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, and Business Management, helping shape supply strategies that enable business growth and customer success.
If you enjoy turning data into action, navigating ambiguity, and making decisions that influence a global supply chain, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a visible impact.
What You'll Do
As a trusted supply chain expert, you will:
- Develop and execute material planning strategies that ensure supply continuity while optimizing inventory investment.
- Monitor demand, supply, inventory, and capacity signals to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Partner with suppliers, procurement teams, and manufacturing partners to resolve material constraints and support production requirements.
- Lead supply planning analyses and provide recommendations that enable informed business decisions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on material availability, demand changes, product transitions, and supply recovery plans.
- Utilize data and analytics to improve forecast accuracy, planning efficiency, and inventory performance.
- Champion process improvements that strengthen planning capabilities and enhance operational agility.
- Act as a key escalation point for material-related issues, balancing customer commitments with business priorities.
Why This Role Is Exciting

Solve Complex Challenges
Every day brings new opportunities to manage supply fluctuations, navigate market dynamics, and create innovative solutions to business challenges.
Work Across the Business

Drive Continuous Improvement
You'll have the autonomy and visibility to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and implement changes that deliver measurable business value.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, or semiconductor/electronics supply chain operations.
- Proven ability to manage complex supply scenarios and make sound data-driven decisions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Experience working in multinational and matrixed organizations.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP, MRP, and planning systems.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
Who Will Thrive Here
This role is ideal for a supply chain professional who enjoys:
- Taking ownership of critical business outcomes.
- Influencing decisions through expertise rather than people management.
- Working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Building strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Driving meaningful impact across a global organization.
You don't need a team to lead. Your influence, expertise, and business impact will define your success in this role.
Company Overview
MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well. We are a fabless system-on-chip product company, striving to improve the world’s communication networks for everyone through our highly integrated radio-frequency (RF), analog, digital, and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for access and connectivity, wired and wireless infrastructure, and industrial and multi-market applications.
We hire the best people in the industry and engage them in some of the most exciting opportunities that connect the world we live in today. Our growth has come from innovative, bold approaches to solving some of the world’s most challenging communication technology problems in the most efficient and effective manner.
MaxLinear began by developing the world’s first high-performance TV tuner chip using standard CMOS process technology. Others said we couldn’t achieve the extremely high-performance requirements using CMOS, but we proved them wrong and achieved enduring global market leadership with our designs. Since then, we’ve developed a full line of products that drive 4G and 5G infrastructure; enable data center, metro and long-haul optical interconnects; bring 10Gbit to the home; power the IoT revolution; and enable robust and reliable communication in harsh industrial environments. Over the years, we’ve expanded through organic growth and through several acquisitions that have perfectly complemented our existing portfolio and enabled us to deliver complete end-to-end solutions in our target markets. One such example was the acquisition of Intel’s Home Gateway Platform Division that added Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Broadband Gateway Processor SoC technology to our connected home portfolio creating a complete and scalable platform of connectivity and access solutions to fully address our customers’ needs.
Our headquarters are in Carlsbad, near San Diego, California. We also have major design centers in Irvine and San Jose, California; Waltham, Massachusetts; Vancouver, Canada; Valencia, Spain; Bangalore and Chennai, India; Villach, Austria; Munich, Germany; Israel; and Singapore.
We have approximately 1,500 employees, a substantial majority of whom have engineering degrees and include masters and Ph.D. graduates from many of the premiere universities around the world. Our employees thrive on innovation, outstanding execution, outside-the-box thinking, nimbleness, and collaboration. Together, we form a high-energy business team that is focused on building the best and most innovative products on the market.
