IT QA Mobile Testing Co-op

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated IT QA Mobile Testing Co-op to help us ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will work with experienced QA engineers and developers on real features for mobile applications and data pipelines. In this role you can expect to learn test design techniques and practical risk-based testing, as well as mobile testing on Android including device set up and log collection. This is a hands-on role with clear mentorship and plenty of learning opportunities.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute mobile test scenarios; maintain a lightweight manual regression suite for core flows
  • Reproduce, document, and track issues with clear steps and expected results; share outcomes and risks in standups and reviews
  • Validate analytics and telemetry against acceptance criteria; use basic SQL to verify data transformations and integrity
  • Contribute incremental automation (extend existing Appium/Selenium checks) as you ramp up
  • Collaborate with product and engineering on effective bug reporting and test coverage; keep concise test documentation
  • Learn and apply fundamentals of automation frameworks (Appium, Selenium) and data validation for ETL/analytics use cases

 

Key Qualifications

  • Pursuing post‑secondary studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, clear communication and teamwork
  • Able to write clear test steps and report results; familiarity with mobile apps and basic debugging
  • Basic SQL knowledge (or willingness to learn); familiarity with Jira, Git, Android Studio and Postman
  • Understanding of OOP, RESTful APIs/JSON and web services fundamentals
  • Exposure to automation and testing tools is an asset (Appium, Selenium, JUnit/pytest, Databricks/Spark, API testing with Postman)
