The opportunity

As the Local Sales Manager, you will act as the face of Hitachi Energy in the local market, leading demand generation activities, driving commercial performance, and delivering growth in line with business objectives. You will lead a talented sales team, build strong partnerships with customers and stakeholders, and play a key role in expanding Hitachi Energy's presence across the market.
Working collaboratively across Business Units, you will identify new opportunities, influence strategy, and create value through customer-focused solutions. How you'll make an impact
Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
Drive demand generation, business development initiatives, and sales activities to achieve growth objectives.
Strong leadership capability to manage and develop Account Managers/Segment managers, ensuring effective growth, governance, and execution of strategic account plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen market presence and customer satisfaction.
Identify market opportunities and develop strategies that support sustainable business growth.
Drive customer-focused collaboration across Business Units to deliver integrated solutions and maximize value for customers.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to proactively adapt sales strategies.
Promote value-based selling and support the successful launch and growth of products, services, and digital solutions.
Champion health, safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Your background
University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
15+ years of experience across Sales, Marketing, P&L management, and related commercial functions within an industrial environment.
Extensive insight into Energy market dynamics, emerging technologies, regulatory drivers, and competitive landscape.
Strong understanding of marketing processes, customer needs, competitive landscapes, and value-driven sales approaches.
Proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives and leading business transformation within complex, matrixed organizations.
Deep knowledge of the energy industry, including local market dynamics, customers, competitors, products, and solutions.
Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and networking skills, with experience working across international and cross-functional teams.
