Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard – Premium Mall in Etobicoke, ON.
Location: Etobicoke, ONPay Rate: $20.00 - $20.29 per hourSchedule: Continental Rotation
2 Weeks Nights: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
2 Weeks Days: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Overview:
Allied Universal is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and highly motivated Security Guard – Premium Mall to join our team at a prestigious retail shopping centre in Etobicoke, Ontario.
This position is ideal for security professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for tenants, retailers, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, respond to incidents, and support the overall security operations of a premier retail destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols throughout the shopping centre, parking facilities, and surrounding property.
Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other undesirable activities.
Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.
Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and security concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security technologies.
Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to shoppers, tenants, and visitors.
Enforce property rules, regulations, and applicable legislation.
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.
Assist emergency services and act as a first responder during emergency situations.
Complete detailed reports, logs, and electronic documentation accurately and professionally.
Collaborate with property management, retailers, contractors, and fellow security personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of security experience, preferably within a shopping centre, retail, commercial, or customer-service-focused environment.
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility requirements.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security-related technology systems.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a high-end retail, luxury shopping centre, or commercial property environment.
Previous mobile patrol experience.
Knowledge of access control, CCTV systems, and emergency response procedures.
