Description
Reliable seed availability starts with sharp operational planning and strong collaboration across the supply chain. As Operational Supply Planner within our Leafy Team, you play an important role in keeping our global seed supply running smoothly. In this international role, you combine operational planning with stakeholder collaboration, process improvement and a clear focus on timely seed availability. In this way, you contribute directly to the availability of high-quality seeds for our customers worldwide.
Make a difference as Operational Supply Planner
As Operational Supply Planner, you are part of the Seed Supply process and contribute to reliable seed availability for the Leafy crop group. Using our planning software O9, you review the status of the supply chain, identify risks and bottlenecks, and coordinate the actions needed to resolve issues related to seed availability and quality. Together with and under guidance of the Tactical Supply Planner, you monitor the supply plan, identify gaps and set priorities for product availability and delivery. You work closely with Production, Portfolio, Demand Planning, R&D, Detailed Scheduling and regional Commercial teams to align priorities, solve issues and ensure clear follow-up. Your work helps secure the right seed availability, quality and timing for our customers worldwide. In this role, your work will include:
- Monitoring and optimizing operational supply planning for the Leafy crop group;
- Identifying and resolving issues related to seed availability, quality and delivery timing;
- Supporting the Seed Supply process by preparing input, aligning with stakeholders and following up on actions;
- Collaborating closely with internal departments such as Production, Portfolio, Demand Planning, R&D, Detailed Scheduling and Commercial teams;
- Working with O9 and other planning tools to assess supply chain status, priorities and future availability risks;
- Contributing to projects related to process improvement, process change, strategy implementation and quality.
In this position you will be expected to work either in Enkhuizen or Voorst, being willing to visit the other site on a regular base. Your manager will be Robert Borsje (Senior Tactical Supply Planner).

As Operational Supply Planner, you combine a structural and analytical mindset with a practical and collaborative way of working. You know how to translate complex planning information and large datasets into clear insights and practical actions. With your hands-on mentality, stakeholder focus and sense of urgency, you help the team make timely decisions and continuously improve the way we work. Your have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to keep the bigger picture in mind and you enjoy working in a dynamic supply chain environment. In addition, you have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within supply chain management, planning or a comparable role;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work accurately with complex data, planning information and availability risks;
- A structured, hands-on and result-driven way of working, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement;
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder sensitivity and the ability to influence and collaborate across departments;
- Fluency in Dutch and good command of English, both written and spoken.

- A gross monthly salary between € 3,984.18 and € 5,500.87 (Salary Scale 8, Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Vegetable Seed Companies), based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;
- 8.33% vacation allowance and an attractive annual bonus program of 10% of your annual salary, depending on your job level and company performance;
- 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older;
- A laptop provided by Enza Zaden;
- A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes;
