Role summary:Join Walmart as a Senior Data Analyst and leverage your expertise in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making across multiple business domains. About the team:
The Transportation - Inbound Planning and Optimization team focuses on enhancing inbound transportation efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality. By utilizing advanced analytics, data-driven insights, and collaboration with operational partners, the team optimizes shipment planning, routing, and execution. Key responsibilities include analyzing shipment patterns, ensuring data quality, conducting root cause analysis, and developing scalable solutions. Leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, and Agentic AI, the team drives continuous improvement, process automation, and reliable transportation planning aligned with organizational objectives, translating business needs into actionable projects and system enhancements.
What you'll do:
Business Partnership
- Influence stakeholders to define problems, align metrics, and deliver results.
- Communicate insights through clear storytelling and visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Communicate project updates, project results, and risks to keep leadership and business partners engaged.
- Explore and implement new analytics and automation tools.
- Collaborate on practical AI/ML initiatives and promote best practices and data literacy.
- Identify and deliver data-driven opportunities to improve decision-making and efficiency.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Build dashboards and tools to monitor performance, trends, and KPIs in transportation and supply chain.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance for analytics and model deployment (GCP BigQuery or similar).
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in data analysis, statistical techniques, and exploratory data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, and relevant BI platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Experience in translating complex business requirements into actionable data strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and best practices to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of business intelligence, metrics, and research methodologies across multiple business domains.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and deliver results.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
