Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review and improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to support management in strategic decision making.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and assignments as required by management.
- Experience with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) operations, exemptions, and related tax matters in Malaysia is highly preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting/finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Malaysian tax laws, SST, and statutory requirements.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Familiarity with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) operations and related tax matters preferred.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
