POSITION SUMMARY

Concepts NREC, a global leader in turbomachinery design and manufacturing, is seeking a skilled Turbomachinery Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting high-precision components and systems for aerospace, energy, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical Assembly:

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electromechanical systems, subassemblies, and prototypes according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Perform precision fitting, alignment, and adjustments to ensure system functionality.

Testing and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct functional tests to validate system performance.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical or system issues during assembly.

Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Document assembly parameters and test results per the defined processes.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to optimize assembly processes and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Provide feedback on designs and assembly procedures to improve efficiency and performance.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance:

  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and calibrated as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient workplace.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace, energy, or industrial manufacturing environments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and precision handling of components.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable standing and bending for extended periods.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

The compensation range posted represents the full salary range for the role. Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and the position level ultimately offered.
