TOFWERK USA, an entity of Bruker Scientific, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented analytical scientist to join our commercial team. This role will support customers across the Americas (USA, Canada, and South America), working across all TOFWERK products with emphasis on key markets: Air Quality Monitoring and Semiconductor Manufacturing.

You will collaborate daily with service and sales co-workers to ensure customer success through technical expertise and responsive support. This position is based in Boulder, Colorado and will be hybrid between the on-site lab and travelling in the field. 

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead sales demonstrations in our Boulder, Colorado lab or at customer sites
  • Serve as the technical expert in pre-sales conversations, assessing customer needs and proposing product-based solutions
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customer application support, including method development and data QA/QC
  • Serve as the primary liaison between applications and service teams: provide expert consultation to the service team, responding to customer technical issues
  • Lead instrument installations and customer trainings
  • Assemble and commission custom solutions for regional deliveries, including mobile labs
  • Contribute to the maintenance of TOFWERK USA demo laboratories
  • Represent TOFWERK through conference presentations, scientific meetings, research reports, application notes, peer-reviewed publications, and marketing materials
  • Develop methods and analyses to support growth in key markets
  • Manage high-priority tasks and customer interactions with self-initiative

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field
  • Experience with applied mass spectrometry
  • Strong technical instrumentation skills, including both hardware and software
  • Ability to work independently in the laboratory, including: experiment design, sample preparation, operation of scientific equipment, troubleshooting, and data interpretation
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • A person who makes things work - practical problem-solving approach
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% per year for customer site visits, installations, and scientific conferences
  • Fluency in English
  • Technical sales or customer support
  • Use of any of the following: PTR or chemical ionization MS,  RGAs, real-time aerosol or trace gas analyzers, Vocus, mipTOF, or mobile labs
  • Semiconductor manufacturing processes or cleanroom environments
  • Air quality monitoring or aerosol measurements

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $71,000.00 and $113,000.00 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
