We are GDIT—supporting and securing some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects in the country. We ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter, with work that has real impact. GDIT is your place to own your career by embracing autonomy, seizing opportunity, and being trusted to deliver your best.
As the Network Engineering Technical Lead, you will support an IT Service Management contract that operates, modernizes, and evolves the ARNG’s global IT services, including networking, compute, storage, infrastructure, applications, hosting, and program management. This program underpins ARNG’s enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, authentication and directory services, cybersecurity, application hosting, and related services, using ITIL as the basis for its IT Service Management (ITSM) model. A current, active Secret clearance is required.
How a Network Engineering Technical Lead Will Make an Impact
Lead, mentor, and direct an integrated engineering team in the architecture, design, implementation, and modernization of the DoDIN-A(NG) and DoDIN-A(NG)-S enterprise networks.
Prepare and review comprehensive engineering solutions, architecture design documents, and implementation plans for complex ARNG strategic initiatives.
Serve as the primary technical advisor to government and military leadership; develop and deliver executive-level briefings on engineering solutions, system issues, and corrective actions.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major network incidents and outages, establishing and defending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Perform enterprise architecture and technology gap analyses, recommending strategic improvements to DoDIN-A(NG) and DoDIN-A(NG)-S operations, security, and scalability.
Oversee implementation and sustainment of DISA STIG baselines, ensuring continuous compliance for CORA inspections and ATO renewals across all network assets.
Develop, review, and defend complex change requests before the Change Configuration Board (CCB) and govern enterprise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Design, plan, and validate secure, resilient data communication networks incorporating Cisco routers, Layer 3 switches, Palo Alto firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and in-line encryptors.
Evaluate and integrate emerging communications and software-defined networking technologies; conduct trade studies and proof-of-concept testing to advance network capabilities.
Coordinate across cross-functional teams and with vendors on technical engagements to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
Support Future Operations to evaluate technologies that advance Army Unified Network Plan (AUNP) objectives, automation, AI integration, and other efforts to modernize service operations.
