Role description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Risk Specialist. The candidate will be responsible for supporting critical risk management activities, supporting compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting effective risk management practices.
This role will report to Senior Risk Manager in the COO Business Control Office – 1LOD (Risk Management)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support execution and coordination of non-financial risk management activities, Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), control uplift programmes, business continuity planning, top and emerging risks, issues, events, Internal Audit (IA) actions, and business maturity assessments.
- Coordinate and support the conduct of Risk Operating Committee meetings for function supported, ensuring effective risk governance and decision-making.
- Support accountability for logging issues, events, controls, and actions in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system.
- Support the timely escalation and logging of risk events to ensure prompt resolution and mitigation.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of risk management practices across the organization to minimize potential risks.
- Support evaluation and compliance with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) policy standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support assessment and management of regulatory risks, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.
- Document and adhere to procedures for Embedded Risk Management (ERM) tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Support oversight for risk and control aspects of transformation programs, ensuring risks are identified and managed effectively.
- Support and mentor the risk champions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience
- Good knowledge of risk management concepts and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to diverse audiences
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to support, coordinate, and mentor a team effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
