Description
Are you committed to transforming how a global People & Culture function works through better processes, data foundations, automation, and responsible use of AI? Do you combine solid HR domain understanding with systems thinking, transformation experience, and a hands-on approach to delivery?
In the role as Manager, People Process, AI & Automation you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will connect People & Culture (P&C) priorities, processes, data and technology opportunities to enable practical, scalable AI and automation solutions across the employee lifecycle. You will help shape our P&C AI vision and roadmap, build business cases where investments are needed, and drive selected initiatives from idea to implementation and adoption.
Your work will not be limited to exploring new AI opportunities. To create meaningful and sustainable value, you will also help strengthen the foundations that make AI and automation possible: clear and harmonized People processes, accessible and high-quality data, well-managed knowledge, and appropriate governance.
As Workday is our strategic HR technology foundation for employee lifecycle management, you will also help assess how emerging capabilities from Workday - and other enterprise HR application vendors - should be leveraged and prioritized across GN’s HR technology landscape.
This is a senior individual contributor role without direct personnel responsibility. You will lead through expertise, influence, structured execution, and the ability to connect business priorities, People & Culture processes, data, technology possibilities, and stakeholder needs. We are looking for someone who can challenge our thinking constructively and help move the agenda forward from day one.
The Team you will be part of:
You will join the global People Technology, Operations & Analytics function, part of P&C and report to the Head of the function. Our mission is to enable GN with modern people platforms, solid data foundations, efficient processes and a better employee experience.
We are a collaborative group of specialists working across HR technology, process automation, analytics and AI adoption. With colleagues in Ballerup and Warsaw, we work closely with People & Culture leaders, process owners, GN’s AI and Digital teams, and external partners to turn opportunities into practical solutions at scale.
As a senior member of the team, you will contribute where business needs are greatest—whether taking a strategic role in an AI initiative or supporting process documentation, policy harmonization, data quality, solution design or change activities. We value teamwork, curiosity and structured execution.
Although you will have a senior role, you will - as everyone on the team - serve as a utility player. This means that we act on the needs and priorities of the business and cover for each other whenever needed. At times, this will mean taking a strategic lead on an AI initiative; at other times, it will mean getting hands-on with process documentation, policy harmonization, data quality, solution design, or change activities needed to make progress.
The team has members in Denmark (Ballerup) and Poland (Warsaw), and the role can be based in either location.
Your contribution is appreciated, and your key responsibilities will be to:
Shape our HR AI and automation roadmap: Help define how AI and automation can create measurable value across P&C and translate opportunities into a pragmatic roadmap with clear priorities across the employee lifecycle.
Identify and mature opportunities: Work closely with P&C leaders, process owners, employees, and managers to understand pain points, identify improvement opportunities, and prioritize use cases based on value, feasibility, risk, data readiness and adoption potential.
Strengthen process and data foundations: Help consolidate, standardize, and improve People policies, processes, data, and knowledge sources to establish the foundations needed for scalable automation and AI-enabled solutions.
Build business cases and delivery plans: Quantify opportunities, recommend investments where relevant, and create clear plans, milestones, resourcing needs, and success measures for prioritized initiatives.
Lead high-priority initiatives end-to-end: Drive selected AI, automation, and process transformation initiatives from discovery and design through MVP, testing, implementation, scaling, and value realization. This includes active involvement in technology and solution design, working closely with relevant specialists, partners, and vendors.
Advise on solution and vendor choices: Assess when it is right to improve processes or data before introducing technology, when to build internally, when best-of-breed tools are the better choice and when platform-native capabilities are the smartest path.
Monitor the HR technology landscape: Stay close to the AI roadmaps and emerging capabilities from Workday and other enterprise HCM vendors, and help determine what should be prioritized within GN’s HR technology landscape.
Ensure responsible AI and regulatory readiness: Help ensure that solutions are supported by appropriate governance, security, privacy, data management, and knowledge management practices. Work closely with relevant GN experts to understand and address the implications of the EU AI Act and other requirements for AI use in an HR context.
Drive transformation and adoption: Engage stakeholders throughout the journey and support communication, demonstrations, training, playbooks, handovers, and change activities so successful solutions become embedded in day-to-day work.
At GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible work whenever possible. We trust our people to fulfill their responsibilities, to know when in-person collaboration is better than hybrid, and to be present when it's needed most.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you come with a good portion of the following:
Educational background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Digital Business, Information Systems, Data & AI, Technology, or a related field.
Professional experience:
Solid experience from HR transformation, management consulting, people technology, digital transformation, process improvement or a similar field.
Good understanding of HR processes, policies, and data across the employee lifecycle, and an understanding of how these impact employees, managers and the business.
Experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation or technology implementation initiatives in a global corporate environment.
Experience identifying improvement opportunities, shaping business cases, and translating strategic ambitions into concrete plans and deliverables.
Experience with process design, standardization, continuous improvement, workflow optimization, or service transformation.
Experience working with HR technology platforms and vendors. Experience with Workday is strongly preferred; exposure to SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Fusion, or similar enterprise HCM platforms is also relevant.
Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly build an understanding of, generative AI, AI agents, copilots, workflows, automations, and their practical use in an enterprise environment.
A good understanding of the importance of data availability, data quality, governance, security, privacy, and knowledge management when scaling AI responsibly.
Familiarity with the EU AI Act and its potential implications for AI-enabled HR processes is an advantage, or a demonstrated ability to quickly understand and navigate new regulatory requirements.
Experience working with technology teams, integrations, APIs, or enterprise platforms is an advantage, but deep technical development expertise is not a requirement.
Skills:
Strong systems thinking, with the ability to understand how processes, policies, data, technology and user experiences interact.
Ability to independently connect stakeholder needs, business priorities, and solution opportunities and turn these into clear recommendations and plans.
Comfortable working across strategy, project management, process improvement, technology design and hands-on execution.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English, including the ability to facilitate workshops and engage senior stakeholders constructively.
Confident in challenging assumptions and bringing a clear point of view while collaborating respectfully across functions.
Pragmatic, curious, action-oriented and motivated by turning ideas into tangible business value.
We encourage you to apply
Even if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we will gladly receive your application if you think you have transferable skills. We highly value a mindset, motivation, and energy that align with our core values, to not only ensure growth for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.
