JOB MISSION:
The Director, Global Retail Technology Products leads the strategy, roadmap, investment priorities, and delivery of retail technology products across New Balance's global store ecosystem. This role enables scalable, connected retail capabilities across point of sale, store operations, inventory, omnichannel fulfillment, membership engagement, and emerging retail technologies.
As a senior product leader, this role partners across Retail, Ecommerce, Finance, Membership, Global IT, and regional teams to prioritize work that delivers measurable business value and supports the continued growth of New Balance's global Direct-to-Consumer strategy. The Director also builds and develops a high-performing product organization, establishing ways of working that drive accountability, collaboration, innovation, and outcome-focused delivery.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Set Product Vision and Roadmap
Define and maintain the multi-year strategy and roadmap for global retail technology products.
Align product investments to business objectives, consumer needs, store operations, and regional requirements.
Establish success measures and ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes.
Prioritize Investment and Business Value
Build business cases and investment proposals that support strategic decision-making.
Guide funding and prioritization decisions across the product portfolio.
Manage product budgets and establish metrics that demonstrate business value and return on investment.
Own Retail Technology Product Portfolio
Lead product strategy for point of sale, inventory visibility, allocation and replenishment, retail back-office operations, sales audit, store reporting, and associate productivity tools.
Ensure retail technology capabilities support scalable and efficient store operations globally.
Enable Omnichannel and Connected Consumer Experiences
Partner across Retail, Ecommerce, Digital Product, Supply Chain, Membership, and Technology teams.
Connect store, ecommerce, fulfillment, inventory, loyalty, and customer engagement capabilities to deliver seamless consumer experiences across channels.
Drive Innovation and Technology Strategy
Evaluate emerging retail technologies and identify opportunities to improve consumer and associate experiences.
Guide build-versus-buy decisions and influence technology investment priorities.
Manage strategic vendor and implementation partner relationships.
Lead and Develop the Product Organization
Build, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Analysts.
Establish product management best practices, governance, and operating rhythms.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
REQUIRMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
10+ years of experience in product management, retail technology, digital commerce, enterprise technology, or related leadership roles.
5+ years of experience leading product teams and complex technology portfolios.
Strong understanding of retail operations, point of sale systems, inventory management, allocation and replenishment, sales audit, omnichannel fulfillment, and store technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to create product strategies, develop business cases, manage budgets, prioritize investments, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Ability to lead through influence across global, regional, business, technology, and vendor organizations.
Proven success building and developing high-performing product teams and product management capabilities.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, vendor management, strategic planning, and change leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
