Pilot Foundation Services is hiring an experienced Transmission Superintendent to oversee multiple transmission foundation projects, lead assigned foremen, coordinate field resources, and provide the technical direction needed to deliver safe, productive, high-quality work throughout the Greater Houston area.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed primarily at active outdoor construction sites throughout Greater Houston. The position requires standing and walking on uneven terrain, climbing into and out of vehicles or equipment, wearing required PPE, and maintaining awareness around drilling operations, heavy equipment, concrete, suspended loads, excavations, utilities, and traffic. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and extended or adjusted schedules based on local project needs may be required. This is a safety-sensitive position.

What You'll Do
- Oversee multiple Houston-area transmission foundation and drilled-shaft projects and the foremen assigned to them.
- Plan project execution with Operations, Project Management, and field leadership, including schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, logistics, risks, and customer requirements.
- Provide technical oversight for large-diameter drilled shafts, direct embeds, casing installation and slurry processing, rebar cages, stub angles, anchor bolt templates, concrete placement, and site restoration.
- Review work plans and production goals, coordinate crews and resources, monitor progress, and resolve field constraints without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Ensure work and required QA/QC documentation comply with drawings, specifications, contracts, customer standards, and company expectations.
- Lead safety performance and coach, evaluate, and hold foremen accountable for crew safety, quality, productivity, conduct, and jobsite execution.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible field experience in transmission, utility, foundation drilling, heavy civil, concrete, or related construction.
- Previous leadership responsibility as a Superintendent, General Superintendent, Foreman, General Foreman, or comparable field leader.
- Experience overseeing crews, foremen, or multiple projects and coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, schedules, safety, and quality.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: transmission foundations, large-diameter drilled shafts, direct embeds, slurry processing, casing installation, concrete anchor bolt foundations, and utility infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret civil and structural drawings, specifications, structure lists, pier schedules, and work instructions.
- Strong leadership, planning, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to report to active project sites throughout Greater Houston.
- Ability to pass applicable pre-employment background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening requirements.

- Transmission line, substation/switchyard, renewable-energy, or utility foundation construction experience.
- Large-diameter drilled shafts, casing, slurry processing, concrete placement, direct embeds, stub angles, or related deep-foundation experience.
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, scheduling tools, or construction reporting systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $120,000-$150,000 base, paid weekly. The posted range is made in good faith and may be adjusted to align with selected candidate's applicable experience and qualifications.
- Local Position: Houston-area project work with no out-of-area or overnight travel required.
