Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to support the MRI Department by assisting technologists, nurses, radiologists, and other clinical staff with patient care, exam preparation, patient transport, room turnover, and general department workflow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting, and is committed to providing compassionate, safe, and efficient care.

The MRI Tech Aide works under the direction of licensed personnel and helps ensure patients are prepared, comfortable, and supported throughout their imaging experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to follow established safety protocols within the MRI environment.


 

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience may not be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Life Support BLS certification preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic credential preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant credential preferred, where applicable.

Experience

  • One to two years of experience in patient care, healthcare support, elder care, imaging, or a related clinical environment preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting patients in a hospital, outpatient center, imaging department, or similar setting is helpful but not required.

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to remain calm and professional in a busy clinical environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain organized, and support efficient department workflow.
  • Comfort working with electronic medical records and basic computer systems.
  • Ability to follow MRI safety guidelines and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist with patient movement in accordance with safety standards and role expectations.

Schedule

This is a 20-hour per week position in the MRI Department at our 541 Main Street location in Weymouth, including every other weekend.

Week 1

  • Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. 10 hours
  • Monday: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 5 hours
  • Tuesday: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 5 hours

Week 2

  • Monday: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 5 hours
  • Tuesday: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 5 hours
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. 10 hours
