Position Overview

The Facilities, Inventory & Technology Coordinator will provide facilities operations and technology support to campus leadership, training specialists, and students to ensure effective delivery of education. The individual in this role will handle shipping and receiving, keep accurate records and inventory, and ensure proper product storage. This role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting technology, equipment, and facilities issues, executing preventative maintenance, and responding to service/ support requests. This coordinator role collaborates with department leadership to maintain facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, as well as providing basic IT support to the campus staff and students.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as main contact for center shipments, verifying incoming materials against purchase orders using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to barcode, store, manage, and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, network, data and services across the technology ecosystem. Leveraging remote and vendor support teams as needed.
  • Assist the department leadership in coordinating the work of contractors related to janitorial/ custodian, maintenance and/ or improvement projects.
  • Ensure facilities, training yards, training labs, grounds, parking lots, tools, and vehicles and equipment are maintained, function efficiently, and have a clean appearance.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HFAV, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and document information within a work order management system.
  • Maintain shop area, tools, and equipment in a safe and organized fashion, and ensure all is operating properly.
  • Purchase parts, equipment, and supplies as needed for facilities, training yards, labs, grounds, and vehicles.
  • Assist with the set-up of facilities for meetings, classroom events, conferences, general campus events, may work individually or as a team for set-up and tear-down.
  • Prepare shipments for postal and commercial conveyance, select appropriate shipping containers, and pack items to ensure safe delivery.
  • Inspect and ensure material for quality and specifications and follows up with vendors regarding damaged or incorrect shipments.
  • Provide customer service to customers, students, and campus visitors. Collaborates with all campus staff and other departments to provide an exceptional student experience.
  • Plan and execute complex projects at the direction and coordination of campus and technology leadership.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years prior work experience in facility repairs, general construction, warehouse maintenance, vehicle maintenance, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record (must be insurable).
  • Willingness and ability to obtain Certified Forklift Operator’s license within first year of employment.
  • Proven experience in inventory management including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse options.
  • Eligible and willing to obtain OSHA-10 Safety and Material Safety Data Sheet Management Certification.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required with this role.
