Job Description

1.Manufacturing Process Development and Maintenance

  • Develop, introduce, validate, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for products.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing process flows, process parameters, work instructions, control plans, and other process documentation.
  • Identify critical process parameters and critical-to-quality characteristics and establish appropriate process controls.

2.Problem Analysis and Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to quality, yield, efficiency, equipment, and process performance.
  • Apply structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
  • Identify root causes through data collection, statistical analysis, experimental verification, and risk assessment.
  • Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions to ensure effective problem closure and prevent recurrence.

3.Data-Driven Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor manufacturing process performance and trends using production, quality, and equipment data.
  • Develop and improve key manufacturing performance indicators, including yield, scrap rate, productivity, process capability, and manufacturing cost.
  • Use data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and drive yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, cost reduction, and process optimization.
  • Candidates with hands-on experience in using Power BI to develop data models, dashboards, and manufacturing performance reports are preferred.

4.New Product Introduction and Process Validation

  • Support new product introduction activities and conduct design-for-manufacturability reviews to identify potential manufacturing risks.
  • Lead or participate in process validation, equipment qualification, pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to ensure that product designs, materials, and manufacturing processes are suitable for volume production.
  • Facilitate the successful transfer of new products from development into stable manufacturing.

5.Quality and Risk Management

  • Lead or support the development and maintenance of PFMEA, SOPs, and other relevant quality documentation.
  • Apply SPC, process capability analysis, and other quality tools to monitor process stability and performance.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and manufacturing-related quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure that process changes are properly assessed, validated, approved, documented, and implemented.

6.Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, process variation, and non-value-added activities.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen, DMAIC, value-stream analysis, standard work, and process optimization projects.
  • Ensure that improvement projects are completed according to plan and deliver measurable and sustainable business benefits.

7.Project Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional manufacturing engineering projects.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, resource requirements, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Track project progress, key issues, and deliverables, and communicate status effectively to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to engineers, technicians, and production teams as required.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across functions to resolve complex manufacturing problems.
