WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - 1st shift

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our facility in Newburyport, MA. This role is responsible for overseeing receiving, inventory management, storage, production support, and shipping activities while ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can drive operational excellence and maintenance inventory accuracy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner daily with Procurement and Production teams to ensure material availability, production efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
- Ensure temperature-sensitive materials and products are stored and managed according to company standards and food safety requirements.
- Verify production receipts and inventory transactions to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring all shipping and receiving procedures are followed and products meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain warehouse schedules to support timely receipts and shipments.
- Lead monthly physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory and financial accuracy.
- Support Manufacturing Operating System initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in GFSI/FSSC 22000 audits and assist with corrective actions, process improvements, and documentation updates.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork while ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, and OSHA requirements.
- Participate as a member of the facility leadership team, contributing to operational and safety initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience within a food manufacturing or distribution environment.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- APICS certification or other related professional affiliations are a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
