DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Construct, alter and repair costume pieces either by hand or machine as instructed

  • Collaborate with the shop team to complete the total workload and achieving the artistic goals of the departmental productions

  • Maintain shop supplies, stock and equipment

  • Assist with shop maintenance and restocking

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned
     

Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. 

SCHEDULE

  • Work shifts available between 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Mondays - Fridays

  • Student must be able to work 4 - 6 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays

RATE OF PAY

  • $16.80 / hour

WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT

  • Federal or L&C Work Study required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A demonstrated passion for sewing, crafts, and costumes

  • A friendly, welcoming attitude

  • Ability to focus and work independently

  • Complete assigned projects and tasks in an efficient manner with strong attention to detail

  • Learn new techniques and procedures

  • Excellent attention-to-detail, follow-through, and professionalism

  • Ability to work quickly without errors

  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area

  • On the job training is provided,  theatrical or general sewing experience is preferred.

  • Critical thinking: Identify and respond to needs based upon an understanding of  situational context and logical analysis of relevant information.
