Description
Our Human Resources Division is seeking a professional, customer service oriented, quality-minded individual to join the HR Operations team! You will play a key role in collecting and processing employee documents for I-9 requirements, manage our SEL Cares program, support government regulatory processes, assist in upkeeping of personnel files and other HR files, and provide prompt and high-quality customer service to employees at SEL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
2. Develop and maintain knowledge of HR Operations functions, including I-9 compliance, government reporting, SEL Cares, personnel files, unemployment claims, personal information changes, and project management.
3. Provide input to the development and be able to support implementation of HR guidance, policies or procedures.
4. Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
5. Manage employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
6. Maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and manage reporting requests.
7. Respond to applicant, candidate, employee, and/or community inquiries, concerns and needs.
8. Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
9. Other duties as assigned.

You may be a strong fit for this role if you possess these skills and abilities:
• B.A. or B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years related experience or equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
• Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks in multiple disciplines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and filing skills
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Post-offer background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)
As well as these preferred, although not required, qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resource Management
Knowledge of HR laws and practices
Professional certification in related field
Familiarity with an HRIS system and processes
