What you'll do...

Role summary:
The Senior Analyst, Assortment Activation, plays a critical role in supporting business plans and cross-functional initiatives by identifying operational needs and driving execution of merchandising programs. This position involves analyzing data, managing projects, and providing actionable insights to senior management to enhance assortment strategies. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to remove obstacles, monitor progress, and adjust plans accordingly. The analyst also contributes to training development and process improvements, ensuring alignment with company standards and fostering continuous performance enhancement across assigned departments.
About the team:
The Fresh Assortment Activation team transforms assortment strategies into customer-focused floorplans, modular layouts, and space solutions that enhance sales and loyalty. Supporting the Fresh food business, the team develops and implements space strategies to optimize product placement, improve shopability, and maximize space productivity across Walmart stores. This collaborative team leverages data analysis, merchandising expertise, and operational insights to drive business results and deliver impactful retail experiences that align with company goals and customer needs.
What you'll do:
  • Support execution of business plans by identifying operational needs and removing barriers to enhance performance.
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives impacting store and corporate merchandising programs and communication platforms.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on merchandise priorities and system support developments to senior management.
  • Oversee training programs by identifying opportunities, guiding content development, and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Analyze project requests and data to drive solutions and recommend process improvements.
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders to implement business solutions aligned with customer and company goals.
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans, and support continuous learning and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
