Marsh is seeking candidates for our open Associate Client Advisor position based in one of our East Coast offices. This is a hybrid role and will be required to go into the office 3x per week.
As Marsh accelerates growth in the rapidly evolving space economy—spanning launch, satellite manufacturing and operations, spaceports, in-orbit services, and emerging technologies—we are seeking a senior, producer-focused Space Industry Business Development leader to originate and close new business. This individual will work closely with the global, multi-disciplined Marsh space broking team to provide clients with “end to end’ service. This role is externally facing and market-making: building a sustained pipeline of qualified opportunities, converting prospects into clients, and expanding Marsh’s space insurance presence with key buyers. The position partners closely with Space/Aviation broking, claims, analytics, and advisory colleagues across Marsh Risk enterprise to deliver differentiated solutions for complex space risks. This individual needs to be self-motivated, while also working independently and collaboratively within a global space broking team. This individual would obtain their insurance broker’s license and become involved with client advisory and insurance placement in order to better understand Marsh’s products and services.

We will count on you to:
Own a measurable new-business production mandate, including pipeline creation, prospect conversion, and revenue outcomes.
Identify, pursue, and close new client opportunities across the space ecosystem, including launch operators, satellite manufacturers, constellation operators, payload customers, in-orbit servicing providers, and adjacent technology companies.
Lead prospecting strategy, including target selection, outreach campaigns, executive meetings, proposals, and conversion plans.
Collaborate with the global Marsh space team across disciplines to maximize growth opportunities in the U.S. and globally.
Develop subject matter expertise in the space industry, with a focus on risk management and insurance products.
Understand client risks and create innovative solutions to address new exposures, alternative products, and new revenue streams.
Position Marsh as a trusted advisor on space risk management and insurance strategy, including risk identification, contract-driven exposures, and risk transfer approaches across the asset lifecycle.
Translate technical and operational space risks into insurable structures and compelling value propositions for decision-makers.
Develop client-specific solutions using global insurance markets, including London and other specialty markets, in partnership with Marsh placement teams.
Build and expand senior relationships with key centers of influence and referral channels.
Develop relationships with space and satellite operators, manufacturers, and launch providers.
Engage space-focused private equity and infrastructure investors.
Build connections with investment banks and corporate finance advisors.
Strengthen relationships with law firms and transactional counsel involved in M&A, project finance, and launch contracting.
Partner with technical consultants, brokers, partners, and industry associations.
Represent Marsh in the market through executive-level engagement, conference participation, and targeted thought leadership aligned to sales goals.
Coordinate across Marsh Specialty capabilities to deliver integrated insurance and risk solutions.
Support programs spanning property, launch and in-orbit coverages, third-party liability, marine cargo, cyber, D&O, E&O, workers’ compensation, and supply chain solutions, as applicable.
Partner with analytics, claims, and risk advisory teams to strengthen differentiation and improve win rates.
Contribute to the development of sales tools, playbooks, and market insights that support repeatable growth in the space segment.
What you need to have:
Deep familiarity with the space ecosystem and its stakeholder landscape (operators, manufacturers, launch providers, investors, and key vendors).
Demonstrated success with business development within the space industry with a clear track record of revenue generation.
Highly collaborative, able to lead “team selling” while maintaining clear accountability for outcomes.
Comfortable with a performance-driven producer role requiring travel, high activity levels, and disciplined pipeline management.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus (MBA or engineering/science)
P&C license - or ability to obtain
