Job Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the Hospitality Training & Quality Assurance (HTQA) team in implementing training programs and quality assurance initiatives for Luxury F&B operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training, monitoring service standards, and assisting in audits to ensure exceptional guest experience. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
JOB SCOPE
Training
- Collaborate with the stakeholders to assess training needs and develop training strategies.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs for that align with organizational goals & objectives.
- Manage training logistics, including scheduling, room setup, and participant registration.
- Actively participate in the development of training materials such as presentations, manuals, and online resources.
- Collate and input data on training budget and resources.
- Compile data from learning needs analysis report and present.
- Provide guidance and support to employees participating in training programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Document learning results from use of knowledge management systems, report activities and capturing information in a systematic manner.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct internal Quality Assurance (QA) inspection aligned to company's service standards for identified business units.
- Support business units in the use of the internal Quality Audit inspection programs, brand service standards, and all related programs and offer support to business units pre, during, and post inspections.
- Analyze QA data to identify training needs and areas of focus and maintain historical QA inspections.
- Manage new and improvement initiatives on property preparedness in delivering above beyond service.
- Using data from Quality Assurance and Rating reports, analyse, curate and prepare reports with key results for stakeholders.
- Ensure completion of internal inspections in accordance with the company’s standards. Present and deliver inspection results, including the support of property improvement stakeholders addressing areas of focus.
- Participate in creative initiatives on communication plans and drive continuous improvements for HTQA's collaterals designs.
- Conceptualisation and development of content and the optimisation of content delivery parameters to attract and engage target audience.
- Lead implementation of communication plans.
- Develop and create design briefs and storyboards based on project requirements
- Uphold and embrace the highest standards as Marina Bay Sands TM by embracing the brand and service culture.
- Comply and follow Marina Bay Sands Workplace Safety and Health Policy practices, policies and guidelines.
- Self – motivation for continuous learning and development.
- Be a Mentor to guide TM on their career and personal goals
- Establish and communicate learning and development plans and opportunities to enhance staff work performance.

- Review TMs performance and provide constructive feedback to achieve organizational goals.
- Administer and monitor the training and development of TMs, specifically the new Team Members.
- Liaise with Human Resources (HR) Department and Learning & Development for all HR related activities.
- Attend scheduled departmental meetings as required.
- Prepare reports (daily/weekly/monthly) as stipulated by management.
- Review systems and processes for workflow and productivity improvement.
- Contribute ideas and cooperate in the execution of on-going initiatives.
- Support Sands Cares and Sustainability programs.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Minimum GCE O Level.
- Diploma or Qualifications in Hospitality Management from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
- Qualifications in Adult Learning & Development from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
Required Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the same capacity.
- Be ready to work on weekends, public holidays.
- Minimum 3 years’ operation experience or held trainer role in a luxury fine dining environment

- Capable of using Microsoft Office applications and presentation skills.
- Having a good command of spoken and written English, and any additional language is an advantage.
