Description
The Retirement Plan Specialist Senior is key to the support administration of all network retirement plans with a focus on defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. In this role you will serve as consultant to all network coworkers, coordinates response to coworker or retiree issues by direct intervention or through external resources, and assure the interface of necessary information between Payroll, HRIS, actuarial firms, trustees, and benefits staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Administer the daily administration of 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), 457(f) and defined benefit plans requesting benefit calculations from the plan actuary and prepares appropriate paperwork. Inform prospective retirees about their options by referring to relevant plan documents prior to finalizing applications.
- Follow up as necessary prior to new payment setup in Trustee system.
- Research plan overpayments, requests stop payment/reissues/ACH reversals and follow up with participants or participants' survivors to recover funds due to the plan.
- Maintain participant data regarding address and banking information. Utilize, maintain, and reviews electronic files of scanned back-up records of participant applications and other pension-related documents
- Educate active and inactive coworkers, and beneficiaries on vesting, plan participation, payment elections and other retirement details.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or a Certified coworker Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification - Required
5 years Professional hands-on coworker benefits administration experience of retirement plan administration - Required
5 years In-depth understanding of defined benefit retirement plans, defined contribution retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, and the laws/regulations that impact each -Required
