Designation: Deputy Manager , Senior Buyer  EV/HEV

Key Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for the achievement of the performance committed with both RN companies, within his/her scope of commodities.
  • For their commodities, the HODs support their VP Purchase for achieving overall objective of the department.
  • Manage hierarchically LSPM and functionally Buyer of his/her scope
  • Works in close communication with VP/Directors of his commodity to get support for his/her objective to achieve.
  • Works in close communication with Renault and Nissan Purchasing Project Managers (projects & mass production) to reach Projects’ objectives.
  • Exist to manage on Commodities Supplier panel management, Sourcing management and Performance management in Projects developments and in serial life

Principal accountabilities

EXPECTED END RESULTS

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Commodity strategy and panel management

  • Establishes and maintains most competitive Local supplier panel in accordance with the commodity strategy
  • Define local commodity strategy (local supplier panel) working with local Engineering in line with RPC and USFT, considering local supplier potential and technology available for future projects in India
  • Proposes panel updates to his/her VP/Director and USFT for approval
  • Conducts and manages supplier’s regional QCDDM assessment
  • Deploy the approved commodity strategy on all sourcing management

Sourcing Management

  • Provide input to his/her VP/Director for the Sourcing Plan completion
  • He conducts sourcing activity based on Renault and Nissan projects requirements [NDAè RFQ è Quoteè SDC]
  • Proposes supplier choice for the project after a clear validation of PPM & CPD through SDC
  • Make sure the SDC and nominations are signed by all respective members and Directors respectively

Product Development

  • Support the Project team with suppliers input on Design of the products to release the VT approval
  • Process the VT P.O
  • Make sure with CPM / Buyer to follow the development activity as per  process.
  • Ensure the Capacity built at supplier and support PSW signed off by CPM / Buyer.
  • Support CPM / Buyer to reach the project performance in all parameter and make sure the P.O released on time to support the Mass Production

QCDDM Performance

  • Negotiates with suppliers to reach performance targets
  • Support the CPM / Buyer to negotiates material variation, respecting guidelines, and macro-economics effects.
  • Conducts a regular follow-up of purchasing performance on his/ her commodity scope and takes all necessary actions to achieve commitment/target levels of performance by his/her CPM / Buyer.
  • Solve all concerns raised to reach the performance target
  • Make sure all suppliers complete the MPA sign off with RNAIPL / NMIPL

Management

  • Manage and support the CPM to achieve QCDDM targets, including best practices sharing.
  • Makes sure that CPM understand and deploy the commodity strategy
  • Cascades down to CPM / Buyer the Renault and Nissan QCDDM objectives & KPIs and ensure their achievement in his/her commodity.

Employee development

  • Manage headcount plan as per budget and organisation strategy formulation and implementation
  • Identify the training and development needs of direct reports and their team and facilitate relevant skill up programs
  • Assess the performance of direct reports and provide them with developmental feedback and support
  • Provide timely recognition and thus ensuring a high employee morale

Major Challenge

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of ePowertrain (ePWT) and Battery components.
  • Supplier sourcing, selection, and relationship management.
  • Commercial negotiation and cost management.
  • Procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibility :

  • Manage sourcing and procurement activities for ePWT and Battery commodities.
  • Lead supplier negotiations on cost, quality, delivery, and contracts.
  • Ensure supplier performance meets business requirements.
  • Drive cost optimization and productivity initiatives.
  • Support new product launches and change management activities.
  • Monitor supply risks and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve project and business objectives.
