Housekeeper – Full-Time
Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to join our team.
Schedule: Friday–Tuesday
Pay: $23.00 per hour
General Purpose
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position helps ensure all areas of the facility are free of obstacles, odors, and debris, contributing to the overall health, safety, and comfort of those in our care.
Essential Duties
Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms regularly.
Wipe down handrails and other high-touch surfaces to keep them free of dust and debris.
Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of caution signage and secure storage of cleaning chemicals.
Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
Immediately report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping when housekeeping supplies need replenishment.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness and safety standards.
Supervisory Requirements
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and established safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
