The Events Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and measurement of IQVIA's participation in industry tradeshows, corporate marketing events, and selected internal events.
Based remotely in Mexico and supporting global stakeholders, this role independently manages multiple event projects, serving as a trusted advisor while delivering high-quality experiences that drive brand visibility, customer engagement, lead generation, and business growth. The position requires strong project management, budget oversight, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of external and internal events from brief through completion.
Manage IQVIA's participation in industry tradeshows, including sponsorship activations, booth logistics, lead-generation activities, vendor coordination, and onsite delivery.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risk mitigation plans, and post-event reporting.
Coordinate all event logistics, including venues, AV, catering, signage, branded merchandise, shipping, and onsite operations.
Build and manage relationships with venues, suppliers, exhibit houses, and event partners.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and event recommendations.
Manage event technology platforms, including registration systems, lead retrieval tools, surveys, polling solutions, and reporting dashboards.
Monitor event performance against objectives and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements.
Drive continuous improvement of event processes, tools, and operational workflows.
Support and mentor junior team members by sharing best practices and event expertise.
Travel as required to provide onsite leadership and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
Advanced English proficiency
Travel availability: 10-15%. This person must have US visa
7+ years of event management experience, including industry tradeshows and corporate events.
Proven success managing US-based events, exhibition programs, and tradeshow participation.
Experience managing complex budgets, multiple concurrent projects, and competing stakeholder priorities.
Experience working within global organizations and supporting geographically dispersed teams.
Corporate event management experience required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
Experience with event technologies such as Cvent, lead retrieval platforms, registration systems, survey tools, and project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet).
Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve event planning, reporting, and operational efficiency.
