Primary Purpose
This position will also act as the primary liaison to communicate field needs and concerns back to the Director of HVAC services and the Operation's Management team.
This position will perform field service and support the HVAC director, by providing direct oversight of field activity with an emphasis on safety, quality and training Sr. Licensed Refrigeration Technician Supervisor will also support and assist in facilitating field personnel's day to day needs, work with electrical construction group to quote construction projects and oversee projects from start to finish.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for working on ad hoc projects as needed. These projects may include operational analysis and tasks that will help drive efficiency and optimize process and procedures to help improve Service Delivery to customers
Major Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance on customer questions and escalation.
Drive accountability to meet or exceed operational metrics at the technician’s level.
Provide On-the-Job (OJT) Training for HVAC Technicians.
Assist the HVAC director in qualify/disqualify HVAC subcontractors.
Conduct documented Quality of Service (QOS) visits, provide feedback/counseling and training to the HVAC data center and HVAC construction technicians.
Responsible for identifying deficiencies in service delivery and report to Director of HVAC services and the operations team.
Develop standard MOP/SOP's and service quality standards.
Approval technician time off requests and timecards weekly.
Provide employee performance evaluations for mid-year and annual.
Work with the logistics team and safety to provide the correct PPE and tools to employees and verify they understand the limitations.
In addition to these primary responsibilities, the Data Center/Construction Supervisor will support the Director of HVAC services and support the following functional areas and tasks:
Working with Resource Planning on Scheduling.
Review and prepare (if needed) all Job Cost Forms (JCF’s) to submit to Bid Desk.
Goal is less than 24 hours on critical repairs back to the customer.
Review technician follow up notes to ensure no bids are missed and expedite activity if needed.
Ensure all SE’s are profitable.
Plan and deliver with the HVAC Director Weekly and Monthly Tech/Communication Meetings.
Review, approve, and correct invoices as needed.
Update on-call schedule, serves as back-up and/or escalation if needed.
Technical Incident Reports.
Local HVAC technical support for Bid Desk;
Review Technician Follow up notes to ensure no bids are missed and help expedite activity if needed.
Review Subcontractor proposals before submitting to customers.
Identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.
Recognize areas for business development and revenue growth for the region.
Work with the electrical construction group to provide quotes on construction projects.
Construction Projects:
Bidding mechanical projects.
Submitting MRF’s for materials and tools.
Assigning manpower.
Daily operations and delivery on projects.
Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance, report any inconsistencies to HVAC Director.
Prepare weekly report of construction progress and issues.
Review engineering drawings to ensure client needs are included.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Certification / License
State Issued Refrigeration License
Valid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required
Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
EPA Certification
Work Experience
5+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong technical skills, installation mechanics and diagnostic capabilities. Must have the interest and aptitude to learn new technologies and systems.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Extensive daily travel with independent work structure.
Willing to work nights for emergency repairs and system testing
Ability to trace, identify, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures on electrical circuits while working independently
Ability to read an interpret wiring diagrams
Answer phone 24/7 for field support.
Strong aptitude towards safety, required to wear the PPE gear when working with any expose live electrical equipment
Experience working in data centers and telecommunications environments is required.
Ability to use a lap top/ tablet for all service tickets and correspondence
Ability to work with Microsoft Word and excel programs
Highly effective in oral and written communication with an ability to communicate with people of varying technical abilities.
Demonstrates good judgment and confidence to select appropriate approach and take full responsibility for end results
Strong understanding of power, AC/DC, single and 3-phase.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.

Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
