What You'll Be Doing
The Practice Coordinator is responsible for helping ensure the daily operations of the medical office run smoothly and efficiently. This position provides administrative and patient support while coordinating closely with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and outside healthcare providers.
This position will work in Secaucus Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Bayonne Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am-4pm
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
- Coordinate referrals, medical records, and communication with other healthcare providers.
- Verify patient information and assist with insurance-related questions and authorizations.
- Prepare and maintain patient paperwork and office records.
- Communicate appointment and procedure information clearly to patients.
- Coordinate daily schedules for physicians and clinical staff.
- Assist with the smooth flow of patients through the office.
- Work with hospitals, imaging centers, laboratories, and other medical facilities as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies.
- Assist with general administrative duties and other office needs as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and outside providers.
