As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Myerstown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Security Experience:Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.

• Technical Proficiency:Candidates must be comfortable using a computer or tablet (B204). Proficiency in basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms are essential for performing job duties efficiently.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors while supporting orderly access and movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
