Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control in Talladega, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will document security-related activity and assist visitors and staff while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

- Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, document visitor entry and exit, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
