Opportunity

We are looking for a Cloud & Platform Specialist who will help shape and evolve the technology foundations supporting multiple engineering applications and platforms across the organization.

The role combines cloud infrastructure, platform strategy, operational excellence, and stakeholder collaboration. You will work closely with software teams, enterprise architects, cybersecurity specialists, external vendors, and technology partners to ensure that platform services remain scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient.

This is a unique opportunity to influence technology decisions across multiple initiatives and establish platform standards that will support engineering innovation for years to come.

How you will make an impact

  • Drive continuous improvement of cloud and platform environments supporting multiple engineering applications and services.
  • Collaborate with software teams, architects, infrastructure providers, and technology partners to define sustainable platform solutions.
  • Evaluate and challenge infrastructure and platform designs proposed by vendors and service providers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency across environments.
  • Support the evolution of computing platforms, virtual engineering workspaces, containerized solutions, and cloud-native services.
  • Contribute to platform governance, operational readiness, monitoring, lifecycle management, and service optimization.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and strategic technology decisions spanning multiple projects and business domains.
  • Support adoption of emerging technologies in areas such as AI, high-performance computing, analytics platforms, and advanced engineering workloads.
  • Help establish reusable platform standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for infrastructure and platform-related initiatives.

Your background

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, infrastructure architecture, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience working with both IaaS and PaaS environments.
  • Understanding of container technologies and modern application hosting models.
  • Experience with networking, connectivity, identity management, and platform security.
  • Experience evaluating and governing solutions delivered by external vendors and service providers.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code approaches.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing approaches and drive improvements through technical and business discussions.
  • Good written and spoken English (B2 or higher).
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or R&D organizations.
  • Nice to have: Microsoft Azure experience; experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms; Experience with Databricks, AI/ML platforms, GPU-based computing environments, or high-performance computing workloads.
