Geisinger's Cancer Institute is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Palliative Medicine Physician to join their growing team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.This is an outstanding opportunity to practice patient-centered palliative medicine within a nationally recognized, physician-led health system committed to improving the lives of patients and families facing serious illness.
Job Duties:
Position Highlights
- Established and collaborative palliative medicine team
- Opportunity to provide care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Close partnership with oncology, hospital medicine, critical care, cardiology, neurology, and other specialty teams
- Interdisciplinary support including nursing, social work, care management, chaplaincy, and behavioral health
- Integrated Epic EMR across the health system
- Opportunity to participate in program development, education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong referral base within a large, integrated healthcare network
- Supportive administrative and physician leadership
