The Investigation AM supports the Investigation Lead by managing day-to-day investigation activities across assigned cases. He will help drive timely, consistent, and well-documented case execution—from intake and planning through evidence collection, analysis, and reporting—while following established protocols and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Support the Investigation Lead in running assigned investigations, end-to-end (or specific workstreams), from intake through closure.
  • Manage a portfolio of security investigations (e.g., incidents, threats, theft, policy violations, insider risk, misconduct with security implications), ensuring timely, consistent, well-documented outcomes and recommending next steps to the Investigation Lead.
  • Develop and maintain case plans and timelines (workplan, milestones, dependencies, and required approvals).
  • Coordinate interviews, meetings, and stakeholder touchpoints; track decisions, open items, and follow-ups.
  • Collect and preserve evidence (digital, physical, CCTV/access logs, where applicable), maintaining chain of custody.
  • Gather, organize, and share evidence and case documentation in line with defined standards (chain of custody, version control, access controls).
  • Perform analysis of case information (documents, communications, system extracts, and interview notes) and summarize findings for the Investigation Lead.
  • Draft case materials as needed (interview guides, interview summaries, status updates, and draft reports) for Investigation Lead review.
  • Track case status and metrics (as defined) and provide regular, concise updates to the Investigation Lead.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or sensitive issues promptly (scope changes, legal/compliance concerns, retaliation risk, data gaps).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders as directed (e.g., HR, TR, Legal, Compliance, Office of Security, ITS, SPS) while maintaining confidentiality and need-to-know access. 
  • Support quality control: ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and ready for review/audit.
  • Produce clear investigation summaries and final reports with findings, rationale, and recommendations.
  • Identify trends and root causes; recommend control improvements (process, policy, training, monitoring, access controls).
  • Contribute to playbooks/SOPs for incident response, investigations, and evidence
  • Support crisis/critical incident response as needed (e.g., threats, harassment, violence concerns).
  • Ensure investigations comply with applicable laws, company policies, and relevant PII/PHI standards.
  • Maintain secure, accurate case files; ensure documentation is audit-ready and defensible.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate/PG in any degree. Industry Security Investigation certification preferred. Certifications: CPP/PCI/CFE/PSP/CISSP (preferred). 5+ years in corporate security investigations, law enforcement investigations, intelligence, compliance investigations, or a related field, including 2+ years leading complex cases.

Experience supporting or managing investigations (e.g., workplace, compliance, ethics, fraud, or security investigations) in a structured. Experience partnering closely with HR/ER and Legal on workplace investigations with security implications. Familiarity with insider risk concepts and cross-functional investigation models. Experience working with investigation case management processes and standard evidence-handling practices. Familiarity with relevant policies/standards in current environment (e.g., code of conduct, HR policies, compliance protocols).

  • Strong report writing and executive communication
  • Working knowledge of physical security systems and/or security logs (e.g., access control, CCTV, visitor management) and how to use them in
  • Strong project management and documentation skills (planning, tracking, follow-through, attention to detail).
  • Ability to work independently in a contract capacity and deliver outcomes
  • Basic IT skills with a working knowledge of the range of MS Office packages and knowledge of electronic security
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills: Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau, SharePoint, and Excel Pivot tables will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with relevant policies/standards in current environment (e.g., code of conduct, HR policies, compliance protocols).
  • Timely case closure within agreed SLAs; high-quality documentation and defensible findings.
  • Clear stakeholder communications and appropriate escalations.
  • Improved investigation consistency via Process Maps, Process Documents, playbooks, templates, and process enhancements (as requested).
  • Cases are well-organized, on track, and clearly documented.
  • The Investigation Lead has timely, accurate updates and draft materials to make decisions and finalize outputs.
  • Risks and issues are escalated early, with clear options and recommendations.
