About the Role
We are looking for a Record to Report Accountant to join our Group Finance team. The role will support Intercompany Accounting, General Ledger, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Bank Accounting and Month-end Close activities across the Group.
The role will involve working closely with Global and Regional Finance teams to ensure accurate accounting, timely reconciliations, resolution of open items and continuous improvement of finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Intercompany Accounting, including journals, recharges, loans, advances and settlements.
- Perform monthly Intercompany reconciliations and resolve differences with Global Finance teams.
- Monitor and follow up on aged Intercompany AR/AP balances.
- Support Intercompany net settlements and ensure appropriate accounting and clearing.
- Perform General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations, including Bank, Accrued Revenue, Prepayments and other accounts.
- Perform Bank reconciliations and coordinate with Treasury to resolve outstanding items.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications and FX revaluation.
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation and ensure compliance with accounting and internal control requirements.
- Prepare reports and analysis on Intercompany, Balance Sheet and R2R activities.
- Support VAT-related reconciliations and accounting activities, where required.
- Work with Global Finance teams to standardise and improve R2R and Intercompany processes.
- Identify process issues and support automation, process improvement and finance projects.
- Support internal/external audits and other ad-hoc finance requirements.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Record to Report / General Ledger Accounting.
- Hands-on experience in Intercompany Accounting and Reconciliations.
- Good understanding of:
- General Ledger & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Intercompany Accounting
- Bank Reconciliations
- Month-end / Year-end Close
- Accruals & Prepayments
- Foreign Currency Revaluation & Translation
- Journal Accounting
- Exposure to IFRS / UK GAAP preferred.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Navision or similar ERP systems.
- Experience with BlackLine or similar reconciliation tools is an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Excel / Power BI skills.
- Exposure to OneStream or other financial reporting tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of VAT accounting and reconciliations is preferred.
