Job Overview

The Assistant Business Development Manager will support the identification of new business opportunities, client acquisition, and revenue growth across logistics and freight services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new leads within the logistics and freight market.
• Build relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and corporate clients.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and service presentations.
• Follow up on leads and convert prospects into active accounts.
• Understand client logistics requirements and coordinate suitable solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demands.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and track business opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Prepare sales forecasts and business development reports.
• Support client meetings, networking events, and industry-related activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development or sales.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain services is preferred.
• Good understanding of B2B sales and client acquisition.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Commercially aware with good market knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel for client visits.
