We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Manager at our Manufacturing Facility in Carrollton, TX.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Manager you will provide plant-level leadership for quality assurance and quality performance across the organization. This position develops and maintains quality plans, standards, controls, and programs that support product quality, customer requirements, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The role partners with Production, Development, Purchasing, customers, suppliers, and the Management Team to maintain product supply, support new product introduction, address quality issues, and strengthen quality performance. The position leads the Quality Assurance function, guides technical staff, develops team capabilities, and uses performance data to identify opportunities and drive sustainable improvements.

Quality Leadership & Strategy

• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan that brings the Company's Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
• Organize and manage the quality assurance function in close cooperation with customers and the Company's Management Team as a member of the Management Team.
• Implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Operations & Product Quality

• Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and support the introduction of new products.
• Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.
• Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated, and investigate product modifications when necessary.
• Assess company and supplier product specifications against customer requirements.
• Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.

Supplier & Customer Quality

• Work with Purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
• Liaise with customers' auditors to ensure corrective actions are executed and customer specifications are met.
• Establish standards of service for customers or clients.
• Prepare explanatory documents such as customer charters.

Compliance & Quality Systems

• Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
• Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
• In locations where applicable, comply with SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Collate and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters.
• Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.
• Write technical and management systems reports.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance environment.

Preferred

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Experience in ISO9000 or other quality systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience in quality systems and standards, inspection sampling methods, auditing, and manufacturing processes.
• Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and challenge a diverse group of managers and leaders to achieve or exceed performance expectations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Passion for continuous improvement.
