SUMMARY

This position is responsible for creating future demand forecasts through a combination of market analysis, statistical modeling, and cross-functional collaboration across the Planning organization in support of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the rolling 27-month, item-level demand forecast for complex and highly visible businesses within SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
• Review, maintain, and adjust statistical forecasting algorithms within SAP IBP, refining historical patterns and future projections as needed
• Own forecast accuracy at the weekly item level and monthly bias results, while supporting related fill rate and distress metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand all forecast drivers, including promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, retail consumption, and customer behavior (pricing, distribution, etc.)
• Facilitate monthly S&OP and Demand Review meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders
• Perform daily analysis and reporting on demand performance, providing insights into historical trends, forecast assumptions, and future outlook
• Serve as a Demand Planning and S&OP process champion, influencing cross-functional partners toward process adherence, adoption, and continuous maturity
• Act as a leader among peers and cross-functional partners, demonstrating strong influence and collaboration
• Leverage advanced SAP IBP and reporting system knowledge to support design decisions in partnership with the Center of Excellence (COE) team

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) preferred

Experience: Five (5) or more years of relevant experience

Technical & Analytical Skills: Familiarity with statistical algorithms (e.g., Fourier, Multiple Linear Regression) and statistical modeling principles preferred.

Strong computer skills; approximately 90% of time spent using SAP IBP.

Communication & Organizational Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Industry Experience: Experience working with a large national manufacturer or distributor in key supply chain functions such as Demand Planning, Inventory, Distribution, and Production is strongly preferred

Travel: 1–5 domestic trips per year
