Special Events OfficerJob Description
The SBL Health Foundation Special Events Officer is responsible for planning and executing fundraising events to support programs and projects at Sarah Bush Lincoln. This position also works with community groups and organizations who host fundraisers to benefit the Health Center. SEO will lead committees of community volunteers for successful event outcomes.
Department: Foundation Administration
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week required
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30pm - occasional weekend and evenings may be required
Required: BS degree preferred
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $49,649.60
Responsibilities
Assists in the management of all Foundation events and activities., Assists the Administrative Secretary in the compilation and refinement of donor and prospect lists associated with special events and maintains current database for special events., Develops event budgets and monitors revenues and expenditures for each event., Develops giving modules to assist and introduce philanthropy to organizations, both young and old to fundraise for SBL programs., Leads special events committee meetings and is responsible for execution of the events., Provides Foundation office with event statistics, including revenue to expense ratios, participation levels, net incomes and overall outcome of events., Recruits appropriate members to serve on committees. (i.e., golf event, Hospice Longaberger Binga, Festival of Trees), La Grande Soiree., Responsible for development and negotiation of all event sponsor agreements, Schedules committee meetings, develops event time lines, reports on status of event planning., Works with the Public Relations to develop copy and design for printed materials and promotion of special events., Works with vendors supplying materials and services to events and activities to establish availability and price.Requirements
