The Role

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of commercial and heat trace control panels. This role involves troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting inspections and functional testing to ensure compliance with Thermon's quality standards, and providing technical guidance to assembly team members. The Electrician works closely with the Control Panel Production Supervisor and Engineering team to support efficient and seamless production operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to assemblers regarding electrical issues, questions, and troubleshooting requirements.
• Perform functional testing of completed control panels to verify proper operation and compliance with Thermon's quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished control panels to ensure accuracy and conformance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and defects, collaborating with the Engineering team as required to resolve complex issues.
• Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to effectively identify and solve problems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Adapt effectively to changing priorities, processes, and production requirements.

 

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification required.

 

 

Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and troubleshooting practices.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous scheduling, production planning, or project management experience would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving business needs.

 

Working Relationships

• Collaborates closely with Production Supervisors, Assemblers, and Engineering teams to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery.
