High school level of knowledge.
Associates degree in secretarial science or graduate of post-secondary business school preferred.
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software, with minimum typing speed of 50 wpm with 90% accuracy.
Ability to compose correspondence and proof assignments to ensure accuracy of documents.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Detail attentiveness required.
Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self-direct.
Previous experience in a health care environment preferred.
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy.
Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
Familiar with medical terminology, self- motivated and directed.
