Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
$23.00 per hour

The Marketing Specialist / Direct Support Professional is responsible for developing and producing high-quality marketing, photography, video, digital, and promotional content for STRiVE while providing direct support, training, and vocational coaching to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and training DSPs assigned to the department. This position combines professional marketing and creative-production responsibilities with Direct Support Professional (DSP) responsibilities. The Marketing Specialist creates content that promotes STRiVE programs, services, events, employment programs, recruitment efforts, and community presence while providing meaningful opportunities for supported individuals to learn and participate in photography, videography, graphic design, marketing, social media, and other creative vocational activities.
• MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION. Maintains QMAP certification in good standing when medication administration is a responsibility of the position. Assists and supervises individuals in taking medications and completing treatments in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, physician orders, and medication administration records. Assures medications are properly stored, available, labeled, counted, documented, and disposed of as required. Maintains first aid kits.
• MEDICAL CARE/TREATMENT. Assures individuals receive appropriate and timely medical care and treatment, including routine and emergency care. Provides timely follow-through on medical orders, adheres to individual care plans and protocols, and maintains required medical documentation in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
• RESPONSE TO EMERGENCIES. Recognizes and responds appropriately to medical, behavioral, and other emergencies, including possible abuse, neglect, mistreatment, or exploitation. Accesses emergency support as required, arranges emergency transportation when necessary, ensures needed information accompanies the individual, and completes required notifications, documentation, and reporting.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, digital media, content creation, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency with Canva; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or comparable software preferred.
Experience operating digital cameras and video equipment and editing photo/video content.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, certificate, or professional training in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Photography, Videography, or a related field preferred.
Professional portfolio demonstrating photography, graphic design, marketing, and/or video-production skills preferred.
Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing preferred.
Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.

Requirements
Develop and produce professional marketing materials that support STRiVE programs, services, events, recruitment, community partnerships, fundraising, and organizational initiatives.
Design flyers, posters, brochures, invitations, social media graphics, advertisements, presentations, signage, and other promotional materials using Canva and Adobe creative software.
Photograph STRiVE programs, events, activities, facilities, products, and other approved subjects using professional or digital camera equipment.
Plan, record, produce, and edit video content for marketing, education, recruitment, social media, events, and organizational communication.
Operate cameras, lenses, lighting, tripods, microphones, stabilizers, stands, and other photography/video-production equipment safely and effectively.
Edit photographs and video, including cropping, color correction, audio editing, transitions, captions, graphics, branding, and final production.
Maintain consistent STRiVE branding, logos, colors, messaging, accessibility, and professional standards across marketing materials.
Assist with social media content creation, campaign planning, scheduling, and development of content calendars.
Collaborate with STRiVE departments to identify marketing needs, gather content, manage revisions, and meet established deadlines.
Develop and deliver hands-on training for DSPs and supported individuals within the department on Canva, Adobe creative software, photography, camera and video equipment, video editing, marketing processes, social media content creation, STRiVE branding standards, and other department-specific tools and workflows.
Maintain an organized digital library of photographs, videos, graphics, templates, completed projects, and other marketing assets.
Ensure appropriate authorization, privacy, confidentiality, and consent requirements are followed before photographing, filming, publishing, or sharing information regarding supported individuals.
Represent STRiVE professionally when interacting with community partners, vendors, businesses, families, and other stakeholders, and stay current with marketing, design, photography, video, and social media trends.
