Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Business Transformation Lead - Projects to join our growing team!
This position acts as the bridge between Finance, Operations, and Technology to drive end-to-end business solutions. Serves as a strategic partner in financial transformation initiatives. Provides leadership across business analysis, solution design, and prioritization.
How You Will Contribute:
Lead business analysis efforts across complex, cross-functional initiatives (finance, MGA operations, premium accounting).
Propose and shape future-state solutions with a strong focus on scalability and financial integrity.
Influence prioritization of work based on business value, risk, and urgency.
Provide guidance and mentorship to other analysts (formal or informal leadership).
Ensure solutions align with accounting principles (e.g., revenue recognition, reporting accuracy).
Support critical reporting cycles (month-end, quarter-end) with proactive problem-solving.
Participate in meetings with Business, vendors, leadership, and Project Team where evaluation of systems are being discussed.
Interpret and comprehend the products and project objectives.
Identify and propose changes to systems and workflows based on areas in which are deemed inefficient, ineffective, costly to run, or time sensitive.
Develop and/or lead development of department policies, processes, and procedures of documentation.
Create training materials related to insurance and financial workflows.
Provide feedback to Director of Financial Projects, Project Manager, and applicable Business and Finance Leaders regarding best practice workflow or strategic direction decisions.
Communicate and coordinate with applicable leaders and vendors on issues, quality problems, and corrective actions.
Experience in effectively working in a large team environment, within the department and cross-functional teams, to solve multi-faceted business issues.
Licenses & Certifications:
CPA or equivalent accounting certification is preferred, but not required.
Insurance certifications preferred, but not required (AAI, CIC, ARM, etc.).
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
College degree required.
7–10 years’ business or leadership experience.
Requires excellent verbal and writing skills as well as strong math skills and a familiarity.
Basic understanding of managing full life cycle software development projects using structured project management processes.
Basic understanding of programming and concepts.
Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of teammates.
Demonstrated expertise in accounting/finance (premium accounting, GAAP, etc.).
Confident working with individuals at all levels of an organization in a consultative manner.
Process and workflow development and leadership experience.
Ability to effectively coach and mentor associates.
Pursuit of technical education required.
Available to travel approximately 5-10%.
Pay Range
$135,000 - $165,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
