Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Pipeline Engineering Co-op to support the development of scalable data solutions within a modern data platform environment. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of data pipelines that enable analytics and emerging AI use cases. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about data engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-based technologies, with a strong interest in working with tools such as Databricks, PySpark, and Python in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines that ingest, transform, and process data for analytics use cases
- Work within Databricks to assist with data transformation and processing workflows
- Contribute to building scalable data solutions using PySpark (Python + Spark)
- Collaborate with team members to understand data challenges and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code development, testing, and version control using Git
- Assist with CI/CD workflows and deployment of data solutions into development and production environments
- Support the documentation and continuous improvement of data engineering processes
Key Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Python and SQL, PySpark and distributed data processing concepts
- Familiarity with Databricks, cloud-based data environments (e.g., Azure) or similar data platforms
- Exposure to Git and version control practices
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows
- Exposure to or interest in AI / Machine Learning development
