We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Manager with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code to provide both technical and people leadership for our Cloud Team. This hands-on role will guide the design and delivery of secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms while mentoring direct reports, setting technical direction, and advancing our engineering practices across Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and GitHub based CI/CD.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide leadership for the Cloud Team, including coaching, mentoring, delegating work, reviewing team members’ work, and setting appropriate expectations and goals.

  • Guide Azure platform standards, roadmaps, and operating practices in collaboration with architecture, application, security, and operations teams.

  • Help define and evolve the future cloud operating model, including how cloud, application, security, and operations teams collaborate on platform engineering, DevOps practices, and service ownership.

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve Azure solutions using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub based CI/CD practices, with attention to availability, disaster recovery, security, and cost.

  • Research emerging public cloud technologies and recommend solutions that improve cost-effectiveness, scalability, user experience, and business value.

  • Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and improve transparency.

  • Provide senior-level Azure infrastructure support, including Tier 3 troubleshooting, incident root-cause analysis, preventive improvements, on-call participation, and occasional after-hours maintenance.

The qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required.

  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years building and operating Microsoft Azure solutions using Infrastructure as Code and Terraform in an enterprise environment.

  • Ability to lead technically, communicate clearly, and guide others through complex infrastructure and cloud engineering challenges.

  • Strong understanding of common Azure services, resources, and architecture patterns, including App Services, Front Door, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Network Security Groups, Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Availability Zones, and regional architectures.

  • Knowledge of core networking principles, including subnetting, routing, and security best practices.

  • Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, such as Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar container orchestration technologies.

  • A passion for cloud technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.

  • This position may require travel on rare occasions.

The following experience is helpful but not required:

  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in a safe, secure, and supportable manner.

  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Terraform Cloud, Env0, or similar platforms.

  • Experience deploying Microsoft Azure AI services.

  • Microsoft Azure or HashiCorp certification.

  • Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.

What makes us different?

On the surface, we’re one of the nation’s largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll see what makes us different: we’re a relatively jerk-free firm (hey, nobody ‘s perfect) with a world-class culture, consistent recognition as one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” and an endless array of opportunities.  At Plante Moran, diversity, equity and inclusion means that all staff members have equitable and fair opportunities to succeed, in an inclusive environment, with their individual, unique identities. So, what are you waiting for? Apply now.

Plante Moran enjoys a “Workplace for Your Day” model which, simply put, means we strive for flexibility and balance while staying true to our principally in-person model. We believe that face-to-face interactions are paramount for individual and collective development, but also encourage individuals to work with their supervisor and team to determine their optimal working environment each day.

Plante Moran is committed to a diverse workplace. We strive to create a culture where each person feels accepted and valued. We believe that each person’s ultimate potential begins with first acknowledging their inherent dignity. When we can recognize — and celebrate — our many human differences, we’re able to create a workplace where all staff feel a sense of belonging and an opportunity to succeed. This allows us to attract and retain the best talent, serve clients through diverse thinking, and better represent and support the various communities in which we live and work. Plante Moran is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Plante Moran maintains a drug-free workplace.

Interested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
