Assistant/Deputy Director (Digital Technologies & Media Department)

[What the role is]

You will lead the strategic growth, positioning, and enterprise attraction for Singapore’s next-generation digital economy clusters within JTC’s premier innovation districts, including Punggol Digital District (PDD) and One-North. You will drive the development of a world-class innovation ecosystem across sectors in digital media and technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Fintech, Cybersecurity, and Smart City Solutions.
You will work closely with government agencies, industry partners and research institutions to support the development of digital economy clusters and enable the growth of emerging technology sectors in Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

You will support the Director in driving initiatives across the following areas:

AI Strategy and Sector Development

• Support the implementation of Singapore’s AI strategy by developing initiatives that strengthen key economic sectors and position Singapore as a global AI hub.
• Work with government agencies, industry players and ecosystem partners to support the growth of AI and digital technology companies within JTC developments.
• Identify opportunities to anchor leading enterprises and strengthen digital economy clusters within JTC estates.

Innovation Infrastructure Development

• Facilitate the planning and development of innovation-ready spaces that support the testing, piloting and deployment of frontier technologies such as AI, robotics and drones.
• Work with stakeholders to accelerate the transition of digital solutions from research and development to real-world deployment and commercial operations.
• Support the development and positioning of innovation districts such as Punggol Digital District and One-North.

Industry Engagement and Account Management

• Manage customer leases and tenancies across the digital technology and media sectors.
• Build strong relationships with industry partners to understand their operational and growth requirements.
• Develop marketing and positioning strategies to attract high-value enterprises and investments into JTC developments.

Ecosystem Development

• Foster partnerships across industry, academia and research institutions to strengthen collaboration within the digital technology ecosystem.
• Support ecosystem-building initiatives that promote innovation, industry collaboration and capability development.
• Work with partners to address talent and capability gaps to support sustainable sector growth.

[What we are looking for]

Required

• At least 10–12 years of relevant experience in industry development, digital economy sectors, innovation ecosystems, or related fields.
• Experience working with government agencies, industry partners and research institutions.
• Strong strategic thinking and project management capabilities, with the ability to drive complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders.

Preferred

• Background in technology, engineering, business, economics, urban development or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with AI, digital technologies or innovation ecosystems.
• Leadership experience in managing teams or cross-functional initiatives.
